The only drawback easily remedied is that a dangling lens cap can tap against the camera while you are filming video so the solution is simply to remove the lens cap and holder during filming

The cap didn’t come with a string to attach to the camera so this stays on great and hasn’t fallen off the cap either

The adhesive tab appears to stick well to the cap and the small elastic strap grips the lens adequately
