The remote shutter release works perfectly for the sony a6500. While not a wireless, the cord is terrific for it allows on/off, lens zoom in/out as well as remote shutter for trlrphoto or long shutter exposures. The variable zoom is a little touchy so... Read More

Works well with sony a6000 zooming lens and startstop recording and photo taking

I use this with my a6500 and its wonderful

However i did solve the issue by cutting the cord and splice in a cat5 cable

The cat5 cable have the same amount of conductors 8
