Pros
This is a well made and finely finished hood that easily screw on to the lens. It is solidly built seems to work well. It seems sturdy from the metal construction.
Nice black matte finish and fits great. Fits right. It does the job at shading the lens. Shields the lens from sun flare.
The lens hood is deeper/longer than the asin b00ubc0o4e hood, which does allow you to attach the lens cap. It nicely replaces the front lens cap so the lens is always ready for use. Only caveat is your lens cap most likely won't fit once the hood's on... Read More
Cons
Does not work well with 16-35mm f4 sony zeiss. The tolerances are off and the fit was too tight. It also looks quite awkward on the lens. My sony lens has plastic filter threads, so they are partly to blame.

The large end is threaded and fits a 58mm filter or lens cap perfectly so you will need to purchase a lens cap to fit it

Make sure you change the eos m menu setting to shoot without lens as the camera has no communications with the lens using this adapter

Most hoods caused vignetting at the wider settings

The shade that canon sells is so shallow that it looks more like a step up filter ring and not a lens shade at all

As an earlier post stated there is no vignetting with the lw37 hood on this lens at 12mm
