Pros & Cons
Pros
The adapter's helicoid ring has an interrupted ridge texture that nicely complimented the pentax lens. From most angles you see the shiny chrome ring of the z mount and the shiny chrome ring of the lens. This isn't the most solid adapter one will ever... Read More
It fits perfectly and really helps to eliminate unwanted light coming at from the side of my eye. It fits both the lens and the camera snugly and works really well. Oem-like fit on both mounts.
The super tak locks on firmly. Fully retracted it feels as solid as you could want. It's a little heavy, but it's small.
Rubber eyepiece is substantial and rotates to be useful for right eye or left eye. It blocks side light giving you a higher-contrast view of your viewfinder. Cutout in the top allows for flawless functionality of the sensor.

Highlights
Quality
The build quality is very good for the price
Easy to install quality rubber and ability to swivel shade point is awesome addition to my nikon
7x it does not work with the celestron off axis guider this adaptor is too long
For the z6 or the fotasy there is no support for automatically closing the diaphragm and certainly no autofocus if you attach an nonaf lens
Price
It is built well and worth the price
For the very low price i highly recommend it to revive your old manual focus lenses
The price is extremely reasonable for anything that could be used with a leica product
All those little gold contacts for the auto functions are not in the fotasy which is why it costs 110 the nikon ftz
Competitiveness
I have a nikon z6 and a canon fd 50mm 1
With my jump to a z6 i was glad to find this aftermarket eyepiece
Works perfectly much less expensive than nikon’s alternative
I took a quick look at m42 to nikon z adapters and found a ton kipon novoflex fotodiox fotasy vello etc

Also the lack of a tripod attachment sometimes is an advantage allowing unlimited mounting opportunities no matter what is attached to the bottom of the camera

Ignore those 1star ratings from those without a clue as to why they get no autofocus or auto diaphragm control
