I installed the camera in my garden and after powering it up i just scanned the barcode on camera using my foscam app which the allowed me to connect it to my wireless network seamlessly

Literally plug the camera in to the mains and turn it on

At this point you know it works so it can be unplugged and installed

Also do this before wall mounting as you have to unscrew the front of the camera to insert the card
