I have used a soft version for many years and while it worked and you could fold it up some when empty it was a pain to walk with because it sagged and would not stand up well

I was able to roll it through the airport coming and going with minor inconvenience remember it is not small two sets of wheels for either vertical spin rolling or rollbehind mode accommodates most surfaces you are likely to encounter
