I bought this item hoping it would help control the speed of my dremel 4300 rotary tool

It seems that the dremel tool does not allow the foot pedal to control its speed since the tool has its own speed control

I tried setting the tool to max power as well as medium power and in both cases the dremel 4300 would not behave as expected

I had to have the speed dial turned up to the max on the ryobi tool but then the foot control worked as i expected it to
