I own a 20 year old yamaha clavanova 600 electronic piano i needed a midi cable to connect my new ipad pro 2020 with a usb c connection the fore cable immediately worked with no software only an apple usb a to usb c cable

Ill blame yamaha for lack of documentation regarding getting midi setup in the mm8 keyboard

Also for the other direction ext sync on or off doesnt matter for pc transmit to keyboard go figure
