Pros & Cons
Pros
No moisture or condensation problems. Used it on a 6 day elk hunt in oregon. Make sure to let out the small vents once everything's staked down. Each end of the fly also has vents that can be opened from the outside to reduce condensation.
The pole sections are short (10-12 inches) making them fit easier in a pack. The gear loft is great but it would have been nice if the light hook had been placed to the side of the gear loft. I wish there was some better instruction on how to fold it.... Read More
The nice thing about bikepacking over backpacking is the weight isn't as important on the bike. It’s lightweight enough for me to backpack with, and i haven’t had any quality control issues. Very compact and lightweight, but sturdy.
The vestibules at either door are. Plenty of space for you and your gear. Love the two doors, no climbing over other campers to get out.
This forceatt is what i was looking for. Overall, great tent. Would happily update this review as well. Worked fantastic.
Cons
Fixable, but dissapointing. It’s an utter garbage. Please spend a little more or look for different tent, and avoid your time and frustration.
Highlights
Quality
The tent feels very roomy inside with the cross bar on top
The build quality of larger andor older tents is quite different from these newer doublewall tents
I do with the vestibules extended down closer to the ground
I got the three person tent but i think with the design i would have been fine in the two person tent
Price
Easily a 45 and worth the price
Packaging/appearance
Handled well under windy conditions kept the cold out in the 4050s
Was not a catastrophic failure and the tent still performed as a tent
Competitiveness
Two nights ago i slept in it with a regular oldschool synthetic filled sleeping bag waiting for my new ugq quilt to be built
This tent has exceeded all expectations i had for a tent in this price range
If two people had 24 w pads or smaller theyd fit fine
