Once u go to your local hardware store and replace them with better quality metal inserts and loctite them in place you are good to go

I recommend just reusing the factory pivot pins and washer and using the new cotter pins from the kit

Oh and as you can see from the picture you will need to pull the pivot bolt that attaches your rear brake lever to get it out of the way
