Pros
These vac-packs are perfect, since you can even reheat in the bags too. The bag roll stores inside the sealer and the cutter is on the lid.
Vacuum sealer works great to divide up the pack into portions for us. If you remove the top of the sealer attachment, it fits snugly into those old containers as well. Newer version has a little better suction when sealing.
Thawing frozen food is great with the foodsaver. The food is just as juicy when i thaw it as it was when i put it in the bag. Plus the hostile environment inside your freezer.
It works like a champ. First it works as it should without having to fiddle with it. All functions work and seems well engineered.
Out of the box i was impressed with the look and build quality of this machine. Quality is excellent, which is why i held out for this well-known brand and never jumped on the unknown brands.
Cons
After only a couple weeks, it no longer vacuums consistently. It seems this twist lock mechanism used in a lot of their current models are plagued with this issue. The part used for vacuum sealing jars is cheap plastic and breaks off after several use... Read More
The cord is half the length and a pain to cram back in the small space it comes out of. Now i'm reluctant to buy another one since my fear is that they no longer make a quality product.

It works perfectly everything is branded correctly and looks genuine but it came in a plain brown box that just says “made in china”

My extremely old foodsaver had finally given up to ghost so wanted to replace it with the same brand
You might be able to find a better one but it seems all vacuum sealers have similar issues
