I did tether the camera in case the suction mount failed so i wouldnt lose my camera but it was fine

It wont adhere to a curved body panel and it wont stick well if there is any dirt

I never trust these things 100 so i tend to put a length of stiff plastic coated garden wire around the device and anchor it inside the car just in case something fails

I bought this as a replacement for a similarlypriced but sadly inferior quality mount that broke after only three or four occasions
