My client was thrilled with her cake and even better was that on the following monday at work following her party she came over to me and told me how delicious the dots were and that she pulled them off the leftover cake after the party and ate the fondant dots

That’s why the pros use it – you can get that ‘sculpted’ look from spread on buttercream but it’s very difficult

Fondant is technically edible but tastes like flavorless sugary goo with a bad mouthfeel and if it’s flavored it’s even worse leaving a nasty chemical taste in your mouth after the unpleasantness is swallowed
