We have had trouble with our brother printer as the ink cartridges we had stopped working when a update was done and the chips were no longer valid

Recently we had to throw away about 6 foiset cartridges as the chip set was out of date

We are careful to not accept updates but seems when the printer lost signal and we reset the wifi setting the update happened without our consent
