Even before you connect the interface to your computer take your time and go to the focusrite site address is printed in the box and download the proper app for the scarlett 18i8 otherwise it wont work

After proper downloading of app connect your computer and only then it will be fully functional

In my case i tryed to use straight away from the box and the the two outlets for headphone would not work
