I've had too many pairs of other sunglasses get scratched up because the earpieces rest inside the rims and rub up and down while stored until they are unusable.

These could still do that if stored in a very tight pocket though, since the earpieces rest on the rim and not outside of them.

I recently had a pair knocked off my head and swept away by a huge wave when i was at the beach, and i noticed that the second pair is getting scratched and one nose pad is a bit loose.
