Pros

The ceramic media comes in a net/ mesh baggie which has to be cut open to use it in the u4. Unlike other media, perfectly reusable. I wish it was a little cheaper.

One box is more than enough to fill up the cartridge. This is the largest packaging of it that i have seen. Fluval has them available for sale as well, and they are available on amazon.

    Make sure you only remove half your bio media when you clean or make changes in your filter so to make sure you maintain a decent established bacterial content in your tank to maintain a working cycle

    Dont wash or clean under the tap or the chlorinated water will kill off the good bacteria especially on the bio media you are keeping in the filter

    These are often mistakenly confused with the larger biomax bio rings which will not work or fit in the fluval u series underwater filters
