Pros & Cons
Pros
The health and color of my discus, tetras, flagfin ciclids, plecostomus and corydoras catfish speak well of how good this regime works.
The experts are even stumped. Probably this is the only drawback. For what it does, and it is easily replicated, it's way worth the investment.
Bottom peat granules, middle 2 layers of sponge and top bio-media. Make sure you put layers of filter-sponge between your peat and your bio-media, it clogs up the bio- media.
Cons
Ppm, no2 0. Peat granules are as hard as bb's.
