Pros

Product is rigid enough to stay in form around bends and curves. Give you enough hos that it is hard to make a mistake. Hardens after a few years and gets gunk inside but othrewise pretty good longevity.

Cons

This is the 2nd fluval hose that i've used on my 306 that has sprung a leak in the hose. One of the hoses was not sealed at one of the rubber ends.

I have a fluval canister filter 407 and it is highly recommended to have at least one of those ready just in case
