I do not know why the inside would be textured like it is so i have to assume it is a manufacturing defect

Ordered 2 of them one was fine the other one had a tiny chip on the edge

Also mine came looking more light gray with white veins rather than the purplered that the product image shows

It was boiled to clean it and developed a faint chemical glue like smell
