Pros & Cons
Pros
The fluke 4910331 t6-600 electrical tester measures voltage and current. It's not the best meter for measuring resistance or dc power, but it works fine if it's all you have. Fluke is the go to tester for most electricians. This meter fits myneeds for... Read More
Cons
Field sense is clearly a not very useful gimmick. If you’re checking a 208vac piece of equipment it does not show you 208v present, it still only shows you the single wire voltage of 120vac. Do not use this meter.
Highlights
Quality
It’s built solid and provides accurate voltage testing without using the leads when used correctly
The body itself is sturdy as well with nothing flimsy and a strong plastic over the display
Used only two times and the battery cover is broken so i have to tape closed this losing the ability to store the test probes
The field sense feature of the new t6600 is clearly a not very useful gimmick unless they can get it to read actual voltages on... Read More
Price
Theres a reason why it costs more fluke is proud of their products
18 years later we have a 100 dollar price jump
That feature is only available on the more expensive unit
Competitiveness
I’ve compared it to other meters another fluke and a klein and it reads true with the one probe on ground and the forks around the wire
My conclusion is if the older t5600 had a lighted display i’d say you had a hands down winner on which one to buy the t5600
