Fluidmaster hoses have their own designed washer already built in. I prefer braided flex hoses to the standard rubber ones. Replaced all my faucet, toilet and washing machine hoses with these braided once.

But obviously nothing lasts forever and if you google these hoses you wont be quite as content with their safety over time although that contradicts my experience

I was really worried because i have heard of many horror stories regarding bursting rubber hoses some as new just a couple of years old

The hoses come with a five year warranty which is about the time you should probably start to consider replacing them
