This book confirms learning principles i discovered the hard way. Irregardless, if you want to get better at language learning, this book is definitely for you! It not only gives you strategies to help you quickly and efficiently learn languages, it t...  Read More

Learn pronunciation first. Learn simple vocab, then learn grammar. My vocabulary is expanding, my conversations are easier. Wordy and meaty.

Cons

The book and the app say to start with phonics, but the app immediately asks students to spell words without even learning the language's alphabet. The app also employs the international phonetic alphabet, but never explains any of the obscure symbols...  Read More

The tim ferris style marketing model is falling apart. The author uses deceptive business practices to sell his book. Some of the resources listed in the back are old and no longer in print which is a significant drawback.

What i like about this book is it gives you a core vocabulary list and shows you how to use the foreign word that youre trying to learn by looking it up in google images saving the image and making an anki flashcard with it and putting the foreign word on the back so the gist is make an image and try to think of the target word and then flip the card to see if you got it right
