Pros

Simple and elegant solution for my vintage fireplace that was missing it's damper. No more cold drafts. The smell is gone.

The sides conform and wedge into the walls of the chimney opening. It fits snug when you cram it in. I like how snugly it fits in my chimney.

Cons

It is flimsy and limp like a wet blanket. It folds up on itself and falls right through the opening. Doesn't stop damp smell or moisture.
