Pros

The bug zapper is great. I use scotch indoor double-sided mounting squares 1' x 1' to make sure the attractants stay seated under the zapper. Bought two zappers one for each side of lot next to bug infested pond.

I plan on ordering another one since they came down in price. Decided to go with this mc9000 over the diplomat due to the more reasonable price. Hopefully it lasts as long as my other flowtrons.

It has 3 old school transformers for the lights, and another larger transformer for the electric grid. It also has bulb starters. I have it on a timer and it lights up of the whole backyard.

We live on a 1/2 acre property, but have found that having the wider coverage works better for us. We own 80 acres, some of which are swampy.

As of 7/16/2020. It is unbelievable. This reminds me of the good ole days. You wont be disappointed.



Cons

The dogs are terrified of it. This thing * them. After a year it dies. Slots are dead.

Although it is a max 120w unit my watt meter measured a very reasonable 84w power draw at rest


Well made in comparison to the much cheaper models which it should be given the large increase in price


For several season i used cheaper replacement options and sprayed with a fogger and we still got bit


If you want a good qualityheavy duty bug light you can see a half mile awaythis ones it

    Looks like mostly mosquitoes unfortunately some innocent bystanders get zapped too but for the most part its the mosquitos
