Watch out for the hidden third screw under the flap on the battery you are trying to remove

Having replaced the battery about half an hour max if you take your time and dont touch the motherboard the only problem i had was the message battery not charging

Obviously my thoughts turned to having to remove the battery and return it but i persevered with googling around for help and came up with this simple fix which cured the problem and the battery is charging absolutely fine now pressed left shift control option power button

The computer turned off and when i turned it on again it was charging fine

After a few charges it can hold 34 hours of web browsing or 23 hours of streaming video over wifi
