Pros

Mat seems hard and durable. Worth the higher cost. Pretty resilient to damage as a bonus.

Floortex ultimat polycarbonate chair mat for hard floors. Installed on a vinyl plank floor. Very sturdy, i use it on hardwood floors in my office.

It was packaged flat, so there was no issue in getting it to uncurl. Came in flat pkg so no issues with curl or such. Unrolled and was flat instantly, this is thick enough to provide good protection.

Cons

It even starts riding up on the wall behind me if i don't adjust it and is damaging the paint. Footprints all over it, just plain dirty. This is not due to the chair rolling off the mat, as it remained on it the entire duration of use.

This mat is hard, thin plastic. Kind of a ripoff. Not very durable. This item is very flimsy.

Only use this on hardwood. This mat slides all over the floor, which creates a hazard for anyone walking to the desk. Our brand new floor is now ruined in this room, thanks to this * product.
