The grinder mechanism itself appears to be solid stainless steel. Mom loves freshly ground pepper and uses only freshly ground pepper.

We replaced it with another peugot which i never liked that quickly broke

It is a little expensive but worth every penny
I was looking for a replacement to a smaller one i had and came across this one on amazon and said for the price it’s worth a shot
Not true i expected more elegance for this price

After exhaustive research of the various pepper mills offered through amazon i finally decided on the fletchers mill

I like a medium grind most of the time not huge chunks of pepper but definitely not a fine powder

I wouldnt want to change the grind setting regularly as pepper gets stuck in the base making it slightly difficult to adjust the setting without taking the top off

Not a big deal for me but if you use this on the dinner table i use it for cooking it wont be easy for people to change the grind setting to meet their expectations
