This kanguru writes at 48mbs (at best) and my two patriot xt 16gb usb2 write at very close to that. Seems that the kanguru is using old technology and the gimmick of a not well thought out switch location.

It has the ability to be locked in a read only mode so you cant get a virus from a computer that has one even if you stick this usb drive in it and copy files off of the usb stick or run apps directly from it
