Cleaning was an original concern of mine but after doing it a couple times its actually not too bad just an occasional leaf stuck in a hole

The procedure is fairly simple after use just slide it open swing it around violently if you dont want a mess then i suppose you could shake it a bit over a trash can but trust me its not nearly as fun that should remove most of those pesky plant remains

Once in a while a leaf will get stuck and water from the faucet doesnt have the pressure to knock it loose when you run into this problem you have a couple options 1 fire up your pressure washer and fire away until the leaf is disintegrated or 2 use a toothpick to poke it out

Then i just rinse it off until it looks clean if you choose the pressure washer approach then you can probably skip this step

My previous egg shaped steepers somehow always came apart in my drawer and i could only find one half so they became useless not to mention they hung by a chain so if that fell in my cup i had to use my finger or a spoon to get it out of my glass

The infuser is made from stainless steel and has fine pores meaning loose tea particles will not enter the cup and the metallic part of the infuser will not corrode
