Reports of the straps slipping and buckle levers breaking seem to me to be due to error in threading the straps through the buckle

These do the job very well but be warned the plastic is perhaps surprisingly rather heavier than wooden rings so if you want them for travel avoid these and get the wood

The only thing stopping a five star review is the fact there were no instructions and it took me a good 20 minute to figure out how to set them up without killing myself
