Pros

Not a professional firewood person, but i do have a wood stove installed two years ago. This axe seems to work more efficiently and makes splitting wood easier. Hard to beat the value of this axe.

My compromise is me choking up on the handle a little. Only complaint is the flaired lip catches the hem of a tshirt on the upswing.

Cons

Hit on the handle while chopping and the axe exploded apart. Think its the same manufacture but branded diferently - has yellow handle if your interested. Buy a heavier axe, hit the gym, step up, and skip this axe.

This is not worth $70 in my humble opinion. Just my opinion but was seriously disappointed. That is ridiculous.

After just couple of uses splitting weathered pine logs the edge chipped and partially rolled. Spent more time wedging it out of the wood than chopping! Broke after 2 years of light duty spitting wood.
