Pros & Cons

Pros

Great size for my large 3 year old. They feel durable and sturdy in the hand. My grandson is almost 3 years. The one thing i tell him is to take his time and not rush, as that makes a difference in the caterpillar having a head or not.

I really love these books and find them to be really affordable and a wonderful learning experience. These things are fantastic! They continue to work well and i continue to recommend them to friends.

Instead of the handle having normal thumb and finger holes, it's just two open handles that a child can grasp. The training feature is great, it allows my child to focus on the closing of the scissors to cut the paper without getting frustrated.

I really like how easy they are to squeeze closed, the plastic blades cut smoothly. They spring back open immediately on cutting which can be great for kids who lack fine motor control. The lever is easy to push down or put away.

They are vibrantly colored and very cute. The only thing is that the color isn't what's shown on the listing photo.

Cons

The open/close function is great but the difficulty actually cutting is very frustrating for a small child learning how to cut. Thinking they were just a bit dull, i let daughter try.
