Pros & Cons
Pros
The cord on the little 'hammer' is a tad shorter than it needs to be. Grandson loves it. The tuning is a little bit off but everyone in the house enjoys playing it!
Cons
Please do not support a culture of tone deafness - buy another xylophone instead. We will keep this one when we take it to the goodwill.
The mallet is actually longer than the string, so you can't sit broadside perpendicular to the toy and use the mallet as any normal child would. The string is too short to pull the toy along!
If you flip it over, there's a bulge in the plastic at the middle of the rear axle.
Highlights
Quality
Much smaller than i remember the fisher price xylophones but quality key sounds seem good
With the exception of being plastic instead of wood just like the one i had as a kid
I bought the fisher price xylophone for my son completely based on my own nostalgia for the product
I assume it’s a safety measure to avoid strangulation but very hard to play with the length
