Also they say it can go into water but to be careful about the water inside the hollow shaft since the display is not waterproof

The only con on this is that you will get the occasional false reading but after looking into it it is most likely due to the minerals in the ground not the machine

I finally did the demo in the manual and tested it with some coins and nails
