Connie willis is one of my favorite authors. She writes with a laser sharp clarity that can devastate you.
Daisy, in the sun is a dreamy little story about growing up in a strange time and environment. Dreamy and surreal. One of today's premier writers of speculative fiction.
The style isn't as lyrical, but is perfect for the stories told. The tone is dark as *, but at least you're not being plunged into despair after just reading an absurdist comedy.
