This is the only plank we use when grilling salmon. My family hates fish but when i use these with the planked salmon spice rub they gobble it up and ask for more.
Cons
I'm tempted to cut my planks to size, but its also hard to fit a salmon on such small planks. However, the reality of this size is terrible. Very disappointed in the reality but such a great idea. Really only good once.

They are not meant to be reusable and they cost over four dollars each so they are a bit of a splurge

Even after such a long soak time they have a tendency to get charred my usual internal grill temperature using this product is 375400 deg and occasional light on fire on the ends the areas not loaded up with fish meat etc

As part of that process the planks have to be soaked in water or wine or whatever or theyll burn up and also to steam the food with cedar goodness

The lid pushes the planks down so they are completely submerged

After soaking just dump out the liquid and the planks wipe down the fire flavor tank and put it in the cupboard preheat the planks for 10 minutes grill or bake your food on the planks then enjoy your cedar planked food
