It is lightweight and tablet screen comes on when cover is opened and it shuts down the tablet when cover is put back

Even though this is a basic case the back of it is a hard plastic that snaps onto the tablet with ease the top cover is a leather type material on the outside and a nice soft microfiber on the inside so that it wont scratch and rub the screen itself
