Pros & Cons
Pros
This book is an incredibly fun read and very well-researched. A fascinating and frightening concept.
The fingerprints of the gods is one of the key books in popularizing the precursor civilization idea. This book goes back to the distant mists of antiquity, actually to the point where intelligent life may have begun, altho there is no definitive indi... Read More
Mr hancock delves deeply into the language of mathematics, geodetics, geology, astronomy and then skirts the issues regarding the genesis of the civilizers.
Some of the topics such as the details of precession, catastrophic events related to ice ages, climatic variations, etc. Also the extension of time periods and ages of structures is much more logical than the lesser values commonly believed.
Cons
Graham hancock's book is a rip-off of the film. There is no scientific proof that antarctica was not covered in ice around 10,000 years ago. Even if antarctic has been uniced, there are enormous gaps in time and circumstantial evidence throughout his ... Read More
This is hardly the rousing evidence i was expecting. His evidence is severely, severely lacking.

I know it is popular today but i dont personally ascribe to the theory that alien visitors were the reason that all of human culture developed the way they did or that there was a precursor human civilization as advanced as our own

I think the sad thing about this book and those who ascribe to these sorts of theories is that for their ideas to work they have denigrate those who came before us and argue that their wonders couldnt have been created or imagined by the technically primitive people whom the experts currently believe built them
