The handgrip is a great addition that comes standard on the 257 that isnt originally on the 256 although you can send your 256 to filson to add one for 20 bucks

Many people say get the 256 for professionals and 257 for students but depending on your commute andor needs i say get the 256 if you are a minimalist and 257 for everyone else

The three inside pockets were removed and i added a plastic pad underneath

If you dont want an attractive yet rugged briefcase at a fair price that will acquire patina character with age then dont buy this one
