Highlights
Quality
Overall i am happy with this set and the quality
Im liking the snoothness as you paint with them love the vibrant colors but am not happy with the small size of pans of paint
These are not the same as the kuretake gansei water colours although they are made by the same company
New to watercolours and i wanted a little set for traveling that wasnt poor quality
Price
At that price i got 14 watercolors for 7 or only fifty cents each
Packaging/appearance
Very compact and the packaging box is so pretty i kept it instead of throwing it away
Competitiveness
The compact set keeps a waterbrush pen handy
Anyway you get a waterbrush and a brush pen plus there are 9 mixing wells in the lid so its good value for the price
I carry it in my purse whip it out to use whenever there is a watercoloring opportunity

The fils or phyls watercolours are more transparent so perhaps kuretake tried to make a range of watercolor paints that are closer to western watercolor paints

The color chart on their website even calls them transparent
