First the good fiio x5 is great in two respects that are important the sound is superb and the storage size is up to the user if you buy 2 micro sd cards 128 gb each you will end up with 256 gb capable of storing almost 800 cds in lossless flac format that x5 supports the x5 has 2 micro sd card slots

The x5 also doubles up as usb dac you play music from your computer through the x5 via an usb cable with appropriate setup on both the computer sound output to usb and the x5 usb dac mode instead of usb storage mode

To save energy the x5 shuts itself down after a few minutes user can control this time or even disable the feature of inactivity but it doesnt store the most recent position

To restart listening you have to boot the system again which takes some 15 seconds then find the last listening place manually
