All in all i was really happy with the performance of dac and headphone combo

The beyerdynamic and the fostex are the toughest to drive practically useless with an iphone only

I noticed that the sound boost seems more significant when using the digital usb in but sound quality was good for analog as well

I run my sony xperia z2 tablet through the fiio e18 amplifier section only and it sounds wonderful

The amp in the fiio isnt the strongest but it gets more than loud enough for me

So you must double tap the screen to wake up the phone then power on the e18

The only odd thing it does is when the screen is off and you plug it in and power on the e18 the phone reboots
