Called our local excellent workboot shop and they recommended putting a healthy coat of pure mink oil on the leather boots a couple days prior followed by a final touch up the day before
It soaked into the leather making the leather look darker no problem with that and i put extra on all seams and along the sole line
No water incursion happened
