Unscrew the device counterclockwise to reveal the included battery. Connected easily with samsung smartthings. Works perfectly without any issues or loss of connection. Notification on my smart things app when it detects water.
And yes this is probably overkill, but i wanted something ul listed. More surf the hubitat forums.
Cons
It is extremely disappointing that their customer service is so unresponsive and that they do not honor their own warranty policy. Price for a fedex shipment is the same ammount the device costs. The packaged instructions are totally useless.
