The only issues i have found are it is difficult to programchange the time and it can not ever be in any direct sun or it will increase the temperature reading substantially

It may use this to communicate with the outdoor sensor but it does not automatically set the time and date

It will work for the indooroutdoor temperatures which is the main reason i purchased it but i was disappointed that the time and date are manual settings
