The front opening is a great size and very handy but it is hard to open when you first get the cage

The clips lock on the inside of the bars meaning you have to slightly bend the bar above to open the door

However clips attaching cage to base were bent so only 1 works front door is impossible to open and hurts your hands

Putting it together is a bit of a challenge the instructions arent very detailed but i managed it by myself at 11 at night

One downside is the water bottle it comes with isnt very good i didnt even use it as i already had a sturdier one on hand

I bought this cage for my rat and i got it for £85 at pets at home

This cage has a good size for up to four female or three male rats providing the pet owner furnishes the cage with hammocks extra shelves toys etc and that the rats get some freeroaming time
