Pros & Cons
Pros
Lids fit easily on my wide mouth quart jars. The portal for fitting the air lock is good and tight (almost too tight, really) loved these airlocks. Fermented some peppers as well as kombucha. Fermentation cut the core of the cabbage down to the solid ... Read More
Cons
The grommets that hold the airlocks in the lids are not airtight. The more expensive brand is plastic and the grommet on the lid is about twice as thick as this one. My wide mouth 64 ounce jar lids fit my gallon widemouth jars and that's about it.
They are not airtight at all, thus allowing oxygen to easily get into your jar. It's useless if it doesn't stay airtight. Not really clear instructions on headspace necessary not to overwhelm the mechanism. Probably ok for large ferments.
