Pros & Cons

Pros

I've been recommending these to all my friends and family. I have a flashlight *, have since childhood, love these little tiny led lights.

Inova x5 (non-uv) is brighter than the flashlight on my phone. Brighter, and has more brightness settings. If you were to put a comparable cree led into a maglite, it would be most impressive.

A simple, (comparatively) cheap, good ol' aaa. Aa batteries. The fenix is small enough though, and the fact that it uses a common aaa battery is a huge bonus over the nano.

The light floods more than most flashlights. Because of the diffuser on the lens it throws a great flood light for it's size. It illuminates a dark room well with a flood style light and i've found it to be effective in my backyard in the darkness.

Cons

Ridiculous for a $20 mini flashlight. For something this small a button on the end is preferred. Going with the $5 cree next.

Quality

I have purchased many fenix flashlights over the years and they are a high quality product

Im buying two more for gifts and have no doubt the recipients will be just as happy as i am with the light

First product thats compelled my to write a review

As i lose things often it didnt make sense to buy a 50 light but i still wanted quality

Price

My ld01 finally broke and the price had almost doubled so i gave the e05 a shot

If 20 smackers is inside your price range buy it

My original one was 13 the power and cost 70 and was still worth it

Competitiveness

The only other competitor to this light for me was the streamlight nano mostly because of its size

This was a replacement for a lost e01

Makes a maglite solitaire seem cheap and very weak

While theyre still able to beam light further i imagine if you were to put a comparable cree led into a maglite it would be most impressive
