I got a echo dot and thought it would be cool to use it to mute my tv during all the annoying tv commercials i hate them but my samsung smarttv didnt support that

For 16 i can now say alexa mute my tv and she says ok and mutes it lol

The app and instructions are somewhat poorly translated so it is pretty much trial and error for setup

Therefore this device is taught the ir signals from your old remotes and alexa is taught to issue the commands to the ir blaster
